10 Free Ways to Pamper Yourself & Keep a Balance

I think it is so, so important as women, to make sure we don’t put ourselves on the back burner and neglect to take care of ourselves! Working, being a mother and running a household are all very demanding jobs and can lead to burnout if you let it. Don’t get burned out, keep balance in your life! Even if you are able to go get a massage from time-to-time (yahoo, good for you!), it’s still important to pamper yourself on a regular basis throughout the week. It can be easy, quick and free, assuming you already have a few pampering items on hand in a drawer that you can dig out.
Try these pampering ideas on for size:
1) Light candles on a regular basis: while you cook dinner, take a bath/shower or even work at your computer.
2) Take a nice, warm bubble bath and soak away your cares. I get in the tub every chance I get!
3) Enjoy some chocolate-no guilt allowed.
4) Rub invigorating lotion on your feet & calves after a long day in heels.
5) Take 10 minutes to stretch, breathe, meditate, unwind. Shut the door, lock it, board it up.
6) Turn on some loud music, get on the coffee table and dance. That’s what I do. Always use a sturdy table-giggle.
7) Go for a walk or bike ride with a friend, your family or all by yourself for some quiet time to reflect on your day.
8) Place a foot massager under your desk and roll away the stress in your feet.
9) Read a good, relaxing, no-brainer book. Put away the work related & self-improvement stuff for a while.
10) Give yourself a home facial and massage away the tension and maybe even the wrinkles too!
Stay balanced in your life by doing little things to pamper yourself on a regular basis and remember that you are important too!
