How easy is it for you to get dressed each day? Can you reach right into the closet and get your hands on just the right pair of pants? Wouldn’t it be nice to start that part of your day on the right foot-every day!
Well, my goal for everyone is that they have a closet that is filled with clothing that fits well, looks good and feels good. Nothing with holes, rips or stains. I’m not sure why you would want to wear anything that didn’t fit that criteria anyway, even if it IS comfy!
Use these three closet organizing tips as you start purging your own closet.
Closet organizing tip # 1: If you haven’t worn it in a year you probably won’t. The exception is if it is a formal or holiday item that you know fits and looks good. But make sure it’s still in style!
Closet organizing tip # 2: We wear 20% of our clothing 80% of the time. So basically we keep wearing the same clothing over and over. Dig deep, dust it off and part with the clothing you know you aren’t wearing anymore.
Closet organizing tip # 3: Don’t hold onto clothing because you think it will come back in style again! By the time it comes back around, it will have a new twist anyway. Once I read that if you remember wearing it in the past, you are too old to wear it when it comes back again-uh oh!
Keep the clothing that looks great and you will feel great too!

I have a California Closet, a reach-in solution, with drawers, shoe racks, valet rod, and tons of shelves. No more digging for what I want to wear. It’s all right before my eyes. What a Zen way to start your day.
