3 Questions to Ask to Get Organized

Are you struggling to make decisions when you set out to get organized? Sometimes it can be difficult when you have big piles of stuff and people get overwhelmed. Remember, you can only do one thing at a time, so make your goal to just make one decision at a time.
First make a goal for your space so you know how you want to use it. When you know how you want to use a room or space, that will help you make decisions on what should stay and what should take a hike.
Here are 3 questions you can ask yourself when looking at your stuff and making firm decisions:
Question #1: “What’s the worst thing that could happen if I part with this item?” If you let something go, there is a chance you could make a mistake, but how bad would it be? Could you borrow or buy another one? It’s not about letting things go and buying them all back, it’s about knowing you have a safety net to get it back into your life again.
Question #2: “When did I use this last?” If you can’t remember, chances are good that you aren’t going to miss it if you let it go.
Question #3: “Am I honoring this item?” I firmly believe that if you are going to keep something you should honor it by somehow using it or displaying it. If it’s stuffed in a box somewhere, then consider passing it onto someone else who will enjoy it.
Ask yourself these questions and make quick decisions on what to keep and what to let go to get organized quickly! Here are some tips to help you get organized in 15 minutes a day.
