Christmas in July: Keeping Gifts Organized
Believe it or not, some people are already doing their holiday shopping and tucking away gifts for December! Some people even shop all year around. This really can actually be an awesome way to get great deals and relieve some stress during the holiday season! But how do you hide and keep these treasures organized so you can find them again? Do you end up finding gifts that you stashed away in after the holidays are over in January? I guess you could give them out for Valentine’s Day gifts instead!
Here are 4 organizing tips to make sure you find your gifts again:
Organizing Tip #1 Have a designated hiding spot to store all of your gifts. It could be bins out in the garage or baskets high at the top of a closet. You’ll always know right where to go. Just don’t give it away or everyone else in your family will too!
Organizing Tip #2: If you are storing gifts unwrapped, tape a note to the gift with the recipient’s name on it so you don’t forget who it’s intended for.
Organizing Tip #3: If you are storing gifts wrapped, be sure to place a name tag on the outside.
Organizing Tip #4: Keep a word document on your computer listing what you have purchased and who the gifts are intended for. This is when an Excel spreadsheet sure comes in handy! OK, possibly overkill. 
Whether you hide gifts now or you hide gifts later, these organizing tips will keep you from playing hide & seek when it’s time to put your gifts under the tree!
