Do One Less Thing for Better Life Balance

What if you did the opposite of what most of us normally feel compelled to do? What if you did one less thing each day instead of trying to add in one more thing? Since I love to get a lot done in a day and I love to cross things off of my to-do list, I myself have been guilty of trying to do too much. Check one more email before I get out the door, throw in one load of laundry before I head out, sweep the kitchen floor before I get my daughter to the bus. Well, often that leads to rushing to get out the door on time. Recently I told you about the first ticket that I recently received. That was a real wake-up call to slow down and even cut back on how much I try to get done in a day. When I am out and about, it can be tempting to make one more stop when I am running errands. But sometimes it’s just better to say, ‘hey, I’ll catch that one next time.”
To improve your life balance, cut a few things out here and there. Either let them go, delegate them or push them off to a later or more convenient date if it’s something that’s not time sensitive. Give yourself a break and take something off your plate today! I would love to hear what you removed!
