Give Yourself a Chance to Catch Up
It’s easy to fall behind and it’s no wonder. We often schedule ourselves so we are running to back-to-back events with very little time at home to get things done. The papers from school still need to be read, bills need to be paid, appointments need to be made and just opening the mail needs to happen. If you don’t give yourself time to catch up on these tasks, they pile up and become a source of stress.
Make sure you cross off time in your schedule throughout the week for catch up time to get all the little stuff done so it doesn’t pile up and become overwhelming. Make it a priority by honoring that the time you have scheduled won’t be pushed aside to take on another task.
If you can’t find the time at all, maybe that’s a sign that you need to rethink your goals and how much you have on your plate and see if you need to cut back on some of your commitments. It’s also ok to delegate some of the tasks in your home-you don’t have to do it all yourself!
