When is More Ok?

Home organization isn’t just about getting rid of stuff. There are many times we find new things are on their way into our homes. Holidays, birthdays, awesome sales, garage sales and anniversaries are some of the many ways we end up with new treasures. And new treasures are fun! Home organization boils down to having a comfortable balance within our homes in relation to space and comfort levels while being able to quickly find what we need when we need it, thus reducing stress. Recently I did bring in more than I sent out of my home. Look at this poor, sad purse (it looked worse in person)… Now, obviously, I am not a purse fashionista. To me a purse takes my wallet from point A to point B and I don’t need a designer brand to accomplish that. But even I knew this purse was in sorry shape. Now, since I am not a purse girl, I usually just have one everyday purse and one tiny purse for special occasions-wooo hoo, I know. And since I’m not a certified purse girl, I end up bringing home embarrassing old lady bags according to my teenager. So, on our last trip to Target, we visited the purse aisle together. Well, Target was having a sale and I got a little crazy and excited and I bought two! So, that meant the old one went into the donation bag, one purse is being used daily and I have a back-up bag to coordinate with shoes (ok, I am a girl) if needed or just for fun. I had plenty of room on my shelf in my closet to accommodate my extra purse plus my tiny, special occasion purse. Even though I really only needed one purse, I had enough space for an extra, I can find it quickly and I parted with the old purse that I don’t need anymore. I feel that I am still keeping a balance.

Stay on top of home organization by letting things go when you are done with them so you can make room for something new while keeping a comfortable balance in your home!
