This is a about as simple as a DIY Organization project can get, set a shoe rack in your closet or next to your front door!  Quick, easy and affordable too.  I like using a simple shoe rack because it is one of the easiest ways to store your shoes and see your shoes as well.  I think shoe trees look great, but you have to really think about making it as easy as possible for you and your family to use your organizing product.  Are you really going to take off and hang up each shoe individually?  If you are, great, a shoe tree will work for you.  I prefer to use flat shelves such as this one or even big baskets that shoes can be kicked into, preferably with a lid.  Whatever keeps the shoes in one place where everyone in the family knows how to find them.

Installing the shoe rack will be easy, deciding if you truly need all of your shoes, that might be a bit more difficult!   Make sure you are only keeping shoes that you know you wear, feel comfortable & look great-sometimes shoes can’t do both of those things-I understand. :) If you have an expensive pair of shoes that really didn’t work out, it’s OK to let them go.  Make room for shoes you love!
