Reaching Your Goals

January 31st, 2009 Goals & Time Management

What is one of the biggest things you can do for yourself to help you reach your goals?  Write them down!  You are much more likely to reach your goals when they are well thought out and written down as a visual reminder on what you want to accomplish.

1)  Start by writing your goal, be specific in what you want to accomplish and set a date:

“I will organize my desk on February 15.”   Setting a date makes you accountable to this commitment.

2)  Next, state the reason you want to reach that goal, this your motivation to reach it.

“I want an organized desk so I won’t lose paperwork, so I finish my work faster and feel calmer in my office.”

3)  Finally, write down several tasks you need to do to accomplish your goal.

Write down your goals, set a date and make them happen!
